GREEN COMMUNITY PHASE II & III
MOTOR CITY - DUBAI, UAE

This project is an expansion for the already existing Green Community in Dubai. It
consists of two phases that grow into the area of Motor City. The project is a family
based, housing community compound that houses a total sum of 78 villas in Phase II
and 137 villas and an apartment building of 114 apartment units in Phase III. The project
is also laced with lush greenery and landscape that adds a touch of heaven that helped
to create a piece of Eden in the city of Dubai. Moreover, the expansion project also
houses recreational facilities, retail areas and children playgrounds that are distributed
along the two Phases.

In order to ensure a relation between the existing Green Community and the
expansion phases, the concept of Mediterranean architecture was adopted for
this project. We strived to achieve excellence during the design process and
we aspired to provide a welcoming family environment for the users, thus, the
traditional Mediterranean style of architecture was the most suitable for the
client’s requirements.
One of the main focuses during the design process was ensuring a relationship
between the interior and exterior spaces that can link space articulation inside
with volumes composition outside. We aimed to achieve that by providing lush
greenery all around the premises of the plot. This was helpful in creating an
integration of outdoor and indoor spaces that is both spatial and visual.

The introduction of the lush landscape did not only prove helpful in raising the
aesthetics of the project but it also helped in achieving a functional objective
that we were striving to accomplish, a safe and cozy family environment.
The greenery was helpful in providing a community feel to the project where
families can get together and children can play under parental guidance and
watch.
Another design aspect that was categorized of a high priority in the design
process was the general aura of the project. By mixing tranquil and vibrant
colors, along with the introduction of various light fixtures, we were able to
achieve a palette of earthly colors that proved valuable in acquiring the most
favorable atmosphere for a family community. The integration of color and light
worked together to emphasize all the previous points ranging from forming a
link of inner and outdoor spaces to establishing a, community-based, family
environment.
Arif & Bintoak were the lead consultant and architect of the project, and were
responsible for all project phases from the concept design stage to the end of the
construction supervision stage.

NAD AL SHEBA VILLAS
NAD AL SHEBA - DUBAI, UAE

Located on one of the most important highways of the country, Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Nad Al Sheba villas is a large scale residential project that’s been developed from scratch by the talented team at A&B.
The Nad Al Sheba community includes 1,586 four and five bedroom villas , as well as a club house, community pool and sports courts, all set in landscaped grounds containing parks, walkways and water features. Though the scale of the project is quite large, the team at A&B dedicated their collective efforts to pay attention to
every small detail within the project. From the quality of spaces within each bedroom to the quality of the spaces within the community as a whole. Lush greenery is provided throughout the project as well as lavish recreational areas in order to provide the inhabitants with an ideal sense of community and a comfortable lifestyle.
Arif and Bintoak’s works on the Nad Al Sheba project was not only limited to Architectural and Engineering development but it also covered the masterplanning, infrastructure and interior design development of the newly proposed suburban area.
Arif & Bintoak were the lead consultant and architect of the project, and were responsible for all project phases from the concept design stage to the end of the construction supervision stage.

SHARJAH SUSTAINABLE CITY

With the ever-growing trend for sustainability and environmental awareness
that has been developing around the globe, the call and need for 
environmental
architecture and construction projects has been more prominent that it has
ever been.
As usual, the UAE has proven to be one of the leading forces and countries to
initiate projects that promote social and environmental awareness in order to
prioritize the health of the environment as well as the betterment of the future
generations.
One of the many projects and initiatives that were launched in the UAE in
regards to this issue is the Sharjah Sustainable City project; a mixed use
development that is predominantly comprised of housing apartments and
townhouses and that revolves around the idea of promoting an energy
efficient style of living.
With a staggering Built Up Area (BUA) of 328,399 sq.m. the Sharjah
Sustainable City will host a wide range of sustainble components such as
a total of 1568 Townhouses, a sustainability experience center, an urban
farm, a world class sustainable school and a wind towers that are designed
to generate energy as well as provide the users and visitors with a unique
experience of the city on their dedicated observation decks.
